Inpatient Family Counseling and Education
Because Addiction is a family disease, New Beginnings Minnesota highly encourages family members to be involved in the patient’s treatment and recovery process.
It has been determined that substance abuse by one addict affects ten other people. Therefore, we offer involve families throughout the treatment process in family education, prevention, and ongoing support. This helps rebuild healthy relationships as part of the recovery process.
Family educational and support topics include: disease progression; family response to the illness; communication skills; patient relapse prevention and the continuum of patient care planning.
